Atheta novaescotiae Klimaszewski and Majka, 2006
NEW BRUNSWICK: Albert Co.: Mary’s Point, 12.VIII.2004, C.G. Majka, ocean beach: beneath coastline drift, (3, CGMC).
Atheta novaescotiae was described by Klimaszewski et al. (2006). Its distribution in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and the French territory of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon is shown in Klimaszewski et al. (2006). It is herein newly recorded in New Brunswick. It is found only in beach-drift environments at the upper end of the littoral zone on both sandy and rocky oceanic beaches in Atlantic Canada.
