Description

Haliplus (Liaphlus) cribrarius LeConte, 1850

Haliplus cribrarius was recorded from Newfoundland, Labrador, and Nova Scotia by Matheson (1912), from New Brunswick by Roughley (1991), and from Prince Edward Island by Vondel (2005) and Majka (2008) (Fig. 3). In Atlantic Canada there are records from small eutrophic ponds, shallow lake margins, river margins (in association with Typha sp.), in a stream, and from a cattail swamp.
