Description

There are two models included:

  1. Dialysis service simulation model.  This is a discrete-event simulation model of a network of dialysis units caring for patients in a geographic region.  It allows a user to stress test plans (in terms of unit capacity) to manage COVID19 positive patients during the pandemic.
  2. Patient transport simulation model.  This is a monte-carlo simulation model with basic vehicle routing heuristics for pickup and transport of patients to a dialysis unit that is delivering their care.  It allows a user to stress test plans for patient transport and estimates travel time distributions given a transport vehicle capacity.
