Electron-impact excitation of Mn V

  • 1. Queen's University Belfast
  • 2. University of Kentucky

Description

The file omegau contains (unformatted) collision strengths for electron-impact excitations among 200 fine-struture levels in Mn V, evaluated at 92,601 incident electron energies between 0 and 9 rydbergs.

The code xtrct.f extracts collision strengths from the file omegau.  When run, the user is prompted to input the lower and upper indices (I and J, respectively) and of a transition.  The output file, xout, contains four columns:

Column 1: Incident electron energy (in rydbergs) relative to the ground state of the N-electron system.

Column 2: Incident electron energy (in rydbergs) relative to the initial N-electron state of the transition.

Column 3: Incident electron energy (in rydbergs) relative to the final N-electron state of the transition.

Column 4: Collision strength for the electron-impact excitation from state I to state J of the N-electron system.
