Description
This python script decodes the raw telegrams with meteorological, ocean and ice information encoded using WMO FM13 SYNOP/SHIP code. The original telegrams were recorded on board R/V Akademik Tryoshnikov during the Antarctic Circumnavigation Expedition (ACE; November 2016-April 2017). Decoded output data are ASCII tab-separated (which can be imported to Excel). The script can be used to decode WMO FM13 SYNOP/SHIP telegrams from other sea stations.
