Problems of sustainable development of agrarian sphere of regions of Ukraine

The subject of the research is the problems of sustainable development of the agrarian sphere
of the regions of Ukraine.
The purpose of the study is to identify the problems of sustainable development of the agrarian
sphere of the regions of Ukraine.
Research methods. The dialectical method of scientific knowledge, method of analysis and
synthesis, comparative method, method of generalization of data are used in the work.
Results of work. The main structural elements of the agrarian system are highlighted in the paper.
Priority directions of rural economy development are determined; the main criterion for sustainable
development of agrarian sphere is defined. The problems of sustainable development of the agricultural
segment of the national economy are outlined. The importance of small–scale farms of the population
of Ukraine in the system of domestic agriculture and the possibility of expanding the directions of their
activity in the agrarian sphere, in particular innovative nature, have been established.
Conclusions. The results of the conducted study were the following conclusions. One of the most
important tasks is to substantiate the directions of ensuring a comprehensive systematic approach to
the formation of state agrarian policy on the principles of sustainable development, which forecast a fully
balanced development of its three components: social, economic and environmental. The main criterion
for the sustainable development of the agricultural sector is to improve the quality of life of agricultural
producers, rural population, the nation on the basis of preserving its life–sustaining complexes.
