Women in STEM

  • 1. University of Cambridge

Description

We are committed to equality of opportunity for everyone, we value diversity and foster a positive and inclusive environment. We are very proud of our diverse group, institute, and University and we believe that everyone together, irrespective of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, belief or physical ability can contribute to the fight against cancer.

We are committed to the best quality of scientific research and to facilitate the translation of scientific knowledge into improvements in healthcare. To improve people’s lives, we need the brightest minds and the most skilled individuals to team up and work together. This is why we see no distinction of nationality, gender, ethnicity or faith, we simply look for skills. However, we recognize that in certain disciplines and at certain career stages, women are significantly less represented.

We are campaigning on social media and at events, to inspire younger generations of female scientists and to remove gender-related barriers in science.
