Description
Stakeholder Analysis of ECS-initiatives in FRCs: A comparative case study for EdiCitNet
We have selected in existing ECS-initiatives located in the EdiCitNet Front-Runner Cities (FRCs), to gain insights into the operations of ECS-initiatives and into the importance of key actors and their stakes in the realization and continuity of ECS-initiatives and businesses. We have analyzed the differences and commonalities of the ECS- initiatives and in their stakeholders’ networks Additionally, we have collected information about the ECS perception of the local ECS-related stakeholders’ landscape, by mapping the position of each ECS in a stakeholders' power-interest matrix. The information gathered in this document lies the foundations for supporting the development of ECSs’ business models and for strengthening their continuity. These models are one of the main outcomes of the overall EdiCitNet project. The information on the functioning underpinned the assumption that there exists a diversification of ECS initiatives. What they have in common is that the initiatives can be labelled under the heading of social entrepreneurship. The ‘green’ edible element is a vehicle for the entrepreneurs to contribute to the social impact of their initiative. Ultimately we were able to distinct preliminary a grouping of ECS initiatives i.e government-oriented, civil society oriented and commercially oriented ECS-initiatives
