İstanbul'da Sel ve Fırtına (1889-1924)

In this study, the flood and storm events that took place in Istanbul in 35 years between 1889-1924 and caused significant loss of life and property are examined in all aspects in the light of archive documents and media organs of the period. Reasons of the disasters, their size, the destruction they have caused from the beginning to the end, how and to what extent people are affected, the recovery, cleaning and aid activities carried out by the state administrators and officers during and after the disasters, and many other information and developments are presented to the reader in detail.
