COMMUNICATIVE-ORIENTED APPROACH IN TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Description

Special attention is given to study of conceptual principles of contemporary science and also to solution of particular problems which are connected with searching of new perspective trends in learning foreign languages for professional training of students of non-linguistic specialties. The creation of effective integral functioning system including definite distinguished structural and meaningful elements enforces us to study present day experience, to define missing elements, to match their importance for improvement of existing system of teaching.

Article’s purpose of our scientific work is to research the system of teaching foreign languages on the basis of theoretical analysis and practical research, paying specific attention to peculiar characteristics of foreign language training. The object of our research is the process of learning foreign languages for foreign language training. The subject of our research is the students of non-linguistic specialties. The methodology of our research is based on appropriate methodological toolkit: the analysis and generalization of specialized; literature and internet resources, content and meta-analysis.

The results of our research. It is assured that the aim of study is usage the language in communication. The attention is paid to the development of educational skills which are used during the independent educational study. It is pointed out to the importance of availability of feedback using the independent educational study as a mean of monitoring of received information understanding. The analysis and generalization of practical experience is based on studying the methods of monitoring of foreign language training which include the evaluation of short-term and cumulative effects after implementation of the independent educational study for the students of non-linguistic specialties.

Conclusions. With a glance of the contemporary tendencies of the foreign language training, the trends of improvement of methodical basis of management of the process of foreign languages learning are defined.
