Multirate mass transfer and multicomponent reactive transport model for nutrient dynamics in river networks (SWAT-MRMT-R-v1.0)

  • 1. Pacific Northwest National Laboratory
  • 2. Vanderbilt University
  • 3. Sandia National Laboratories

Description

This model simulates concurrent nonlinear multicomponent biogeochemical reactions in both the channel water and its surrounding hyporheic zones (HZs), connecting the channel water and HZs through hyporheic exchanges using multirate mass transfer (MRMT) representation. A two-step reactions for denitrification and an aerobic respiration reaction are assumed to represent the biogeochemical transformations taking place within the HZs.

Notes

Correction: 1. switch line 1381 and 1382 in pflotran/src/pflotran/reaction_sandbox_pnnl_cyber_mrmt.F90 ; 2. remove dlog on line 461 and 467 in SWAT-MRMT-R/pflotran_rxn.F90
