A checklist of the Kateretidae and Nitidulidae of Azerbaijan (Coleoptera: Cucujoidea)

Description

The current knowledge of the geographic distribution of short-winged flower beetles and sap beetles (Kateretidae and Nitidulidae) from Azerbaijan is summarized. In total, 65 species of Nitidulidae (in 22 genera and 5 subfamilies: Epuraeinae, Carpophilinae, Cryptarchinae, Nitidulinae, Meligethinae) and 10 species of Kateretidae (in 4 genera: Anamartus Jelínek, Brachyleptus Motschulsky, Brachypterus Kugelann, Kateretes Herbst) are listed. Kateretes mixtus Kirejtshuk, Epuraea biguttata (Thunberg), Epuraea luteola Erichson, Epuraea pallescens (Stephens), Epuraea silacea (Herbst), Glischrochilus grandis (Tournier), Cychramus luteus (Fabricius), Boragogethes mandibularis (Sahlberg), Genistogethes carinulatus (Förster), Sagittogethes hladili (Jelínek), Sagittogethes incanus (Sturm) and Sagittogethes jordanis (Jelínek & Spornraft) are new records for Azerbaijan.
