The Correlation between the Graduate Profile and the System of School Competences
Description
The profile of the graduate at different stages of schooling represents the extent to which the student approaches the educational ideal as defined for a specific stage. It is from this educational ideal that the key competences are derived, and the graduate profile, in turn, is based on key competences. The relationship between the graduate profile and the subject-specific competences, which derive from transversal/key competences, is worth analyzing. The graduate profile cannot be expressed merely through a sum of subject specific competences that had been formed at a specific stage of schooling; instead, it represents a synthesis of these competences.
