The Environment can be Saved by Implementing the Scientific Results in the Field of Ecological Chemistry
Description
The paper presents various applications of ecological chemistry in solving environmental problems, such as the purifcation of surface water and groundwater using the processes of ozonation and adsorption of traces of persistent organic pollutants, their fltration through active carbon columns, elaboration of technologies for obtaining of activated carbons from local vegetal waste, obtaining Enoxil-M and Enoxil-A, medicinal preparations with high antifungal and antibacterial properties and their use in treating diseases caused by fungi and bacteria and, in particular, from wounds caused by thermal and surgical injuries, the use of biomass as a raw material for obtaining biogas through anaerobic fermentation and biodiesel and bioethanol
through chemical processes and aerobic fermentation. The material presented in the paper can serve as didactic support in the environmental education approaches in the general, technical and vocational and higher education.
