Personal Development Trends Display in Adolescent Sociolect

Description

The article is devoted to the analysis of the problem of adolescent sociolect formatting in the modern socio-cultural space. The author states that sociolect is an invariant socially marked subsystem of language, forming an important component of the subculture of a separate linguosocium. It has been proved that the sociolect explicates the mental continuum of the subject of speech, reflects the features of personal development and the peculiarity of speech culture.

In the plane of the above, an empirical study was carried out, which aimed to identify the pecualiarities of adolescent socioelect lexical level in the contemporary socio-cultural environment. The study was carried out with the use of inductive-deductive method focused on selection of socially marked lexical units from the factual material, as well as structural-semantic and contextual methods of linguistic research. The analysis of the factual material showed that the most clear link between the language indicators of the core part of the adolescent sociolect and the socio-cultural dimension of the respondents' understanding of the world structure exists on the lexical layer. Adolescent speech is distinguished preferentially with the use of foreign lexical borrowing, own lexical neologisms, as well as spoken and invective language codes. According to the study results, it is concluded that adolescents’ sociolect is a non-codified form of adolescent speech communication, which reflects the tendencies of mental development of a person in the conditions of globalization and internationalization of socio-cultural space.
