Reflection About Age As An Object of Psycholinguistic Research

Description

The abstract shows how to reconstruct the age parameters of an individual manifested through subjective semantics of lexemes that nominate the age and person of this age, based on a complex of psycholinguistic procedures that require the implementation of different types of speech activity, which bring to the surface various structures of the mental lexicon. The author proceeded from the following assumptions: perception of age is part of a single system of perception by a person of himself, associated with the general social, age and individual subjective processes of conceptualization of native speakers. The semantic composition of such an area can be revealed using various psycholinguistic experiments, allowing you to see the individual and group (age) specifics of speech action. Using psycholinguistic methods – a free associative experiment, an associative experiment (using the method of supplementing the language sign), a receptive experiment (using the method of semantic differential), conducted in contrasting age groups using the same stimulus list, including lexemes with semantics (including the elderly, advanced) age, you can get indicators of reflection and the specificity of speech action that connects the stimulus and reaction.
