ХУДОЖНІЙ МЕТАЛ У ДЕКОРІ БАЛКОНІВ ІВА-НО-ФРАНКІВСЬКА КІНЦЯ ХІХ – ПОЧАТКУ ХХ СТ.

The aim of the article is to systematize and generalize the results of the site examinations of Ivano-Frankivsk’s balconies. Common scientific methods of the analysis such as site examinations, correlation, generalization, systematization and classification have been used. The result of the research is the classification of several hundred metal elements of balconies in the composite structure of the facades of Ivano-Frankivsk’s buildings of the late 19th –early 20thcentury, discovered and explored by the author. The novelty lies in the fact that in the research for the first time a large number of metal elements of balconies was examined and a scientific analysis of their stylistic and compositional features was made. The practical significance of the research is to prevent the loss of works of Ivano-Frankivsk art metalarchitecture by means of drawing public attention to this issue as well as specialists’ attention, art historians and restorers in particular.
