EasyUnicode is a Keyboard layout file for Mac OS X (10.2 or later) to type Unicode characters for basic Sanskrit/Pali transcription. Dr. Toshiya Unebe, Professor of Indian Studies at Nagoya University, passed away in November 2016 at the age of 48. Toshiya's last article appeared in a volume on Thai Manuscripts: "Manuscripts from the Kingdom of Siam in Japan," in Collectors and Collections in the History of Thai Manuscripts, a Special Issue of Manuscript Studies, edited by Justin McDaniel, vol. 2.1 (2017). A profile about him as a scholar and Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Priest is found in Figures of Buddhist Modernity (University of Hawaii Press, 2016): pp. 23-26, edited by Jeffrey Samuels, Mark Rowe, and Justin McDaniel.
