Model data from GRL paper : "The polar stratosphere as an arbiter of the projected tropical versus polar tug-of-war"

This folder includes monthly and daily data that were used to plot the figures of the Geophysical Research Letters paper "The polar stratosphere as an arbiter of the projected tropical versus polar tug-of-war", # 2019GL082463.

The data consists of model outputs from the SC-WACCM model.

The monthly data includes 51 continuous years for CTL, 50 members concatenated together for the other experiments, for these two variables :

- U700, zonal wind at 700h Pa

- TEMP_zonmean, the temperature zonal mean

Daily data is provided for each year/ensemble member separately, for 3 variables :

- Zcap, the geopotential polar cap at all vertical levels

- WAFZmidlat, the upward wave activity flux averaged between 40N and 80N at all vertical levels

- NAO, the daily NAO index
