The "German Question" on the Pages of the Russian Press at the Beginning of World War I («НЕМЕЦКИЙ ВОПРОС» НА СТРАНИЦАХ «РУССКОЙ ПЕЧАТИ» В НАЧАЛЕ ПЕРВОЙ МИРОВОЙ ВОЙНЫ)
Description
The article takes us to a time when the adjectives “Russkiy” and “Rossiyskiy” (both are translated as “Russian”) were almost identical, and “Russkiy” was used much more often than “Rossiyskiy”. The author draws attention to the fact that on the pages of the nationalist and liberal Russian press different methods were used to construct the image of the enemy, and there were persistent contradictions existing between the editions.
