FACTOR STRUCTURAL STUDY ON ATHLETIC COPING SKILLS AMONG NATIONAL LEVEL HANDBALL PLAYERS

The purpose of the study was to analyze the athletic coping skills among the national level Handball players in Kerala. The study was design to analyze athletic coping skills among national level men and women Handball players to achieve purpose of the study the research scholar will select 48 national level men (24) and women (24) Handball players of Kerala state, age ranged between 17 to 28. Athletic coping skill inventory (ACSI) was selected as tools to collect necessary data for the proposed study. For The Purpose Of Measuring Selected Psychological Variable, Descriptive Statistiques Such As Mean, Median, Mode, Std Deviation, Kurtosis Skewness, Cohesion Of Variance, Minimum Score, Maximum Score, Range, Percentile 25, 50, 75 were done. This Will Give An Idea Of The Scores Of Data Collected And Thereafter The Factor Analysis Also Done. The Level Of Significance To Test The Hypothesis Was Set At 0.05. In Kerala Handball players the three prominent factors extracted after factor analysis were concentration factor, freedom factors and coping factor. The concentration factor is heavily loaded with and Peaking under Pressure. Freedom factor is heavily loaded with Goal Setting and Mental Preparation. Coping factor is heavily loaded with Coach ability and Confidence and Achievement Motivation
