Description

These are MatLab scripts and data supporting the paper
"Detecting causality signal in instrumental measurements and climate model simulations: global warming case study"
by Mikhail Y. Verbitsky, Michael E. Mann, Byron A. Steinman, Dmitry M. Volobuev
Please, use
cd_tst_henon_map.m to get results shown in Fig.1
runCD_co2_T_control1.m to get results shown in Figs.2-5
data files:
surftemp_all.txt - contains 50 surrogates produced by CMIP5 ansemble models with all forcings taken into account
surftemp_anthro.txt - contains 50 surrogates produced by CMIP5 ansemble models with anthropogenic only forcings taken into account as described in

Mann, M.E., Miller, S.K., Rahmstorf, S., Steinman, B.A. and Tingley, M.: Record temperature streak bears anthropogenic fingerprint. Geophysical Research Letters, 44(15), 7936-7944, 2017

co2.dat and GISSNHMarch2017temp.dat are atmospheric co2 content and Nothern Hemisphere GISS temperature record respectively.

Scripts were tested under MatLab version R2015b
