АНАЛІЗ ДОСВІДУ ФОРМУВАННЯ ПОЛІКУЛЬТУРНОЇ КОМПЕТЕНТНОСТІ СТУДЕНТІВ В УНІВЕРСИТЕТАХ КНР

Description

The article proves the urgency of the problem of the formation of students’ multicultural competence in universities. The study determines Chinese universities have accumulated the valuable experience on this issue, however scientists have not purposefully studied this experience and have not summarized it yet. Conducting the scientific research it has been proved that the process of students’ forming multicultural competence occurs in various ways in the PRC. So, first of all, the multicultural content of all curricula and programs is provided accordingly in order to reflect scientific and cultural achievements of different nations. The implementation of these plans and the training programs for future specialists of various specialties contributes to the formation of multicultural awareness, respect to diverse cultures, as well as the sense of mutual understanding between different ethnic groups which in their turn are the most important components of the multicultural competence of the individual. Also the process of students’ gaining the variety of specialties requires the deep study of number of professional academic disciplines («The Arabic Language and Literature», «The Asian and African Language and Literature», «The French Language and Literature», «The German Language and Literature», «The Indian language and Literature», «Foreign Philosophy», «The Japanese Language and Literature», «Diplomacy», «The Theory of History and History», «Literature and Art», «Journalism» and etc.), which ensure the personal purposeful formation of multicultural competence. In addition, in all universities of the PRC, students’ multicultural education, implemented in the classroom, is complemented by extracurricular educational- cognitive and socially educational work with students in the specified direction. Thus, such events as following are conducted: lectures, meetings with famous local and foreign scientists, dialogues with worldwide famous masters of innovations, disputes and round-table talks, international culture festivals, speech competitions for foreign students as «China in my eyes», international youth forums, student greeting days, writers’ weeks for foreign authors and other events.
