Sanatorium and resort enterprises: features of functioning

The subject of the research is the scientific and practical principles of the functioning of the
enterprises of the sanatorium and resort area.
The purpose of the study is the peculiarities of functioning of the enterprises of the sanatorium
and resort area.
Research methods. The paper uses methods of logical generalization, analysis, comparison and
synthesis, graphical and graph-analytical methods.
Results of work. The article defines the main factors which is the feature of sanatorium and resort
activity. The sanatorium and resort enterprises are classified according to the types according to
the specification of functional orientation and their specialization. The normative-legal framework is
regulated by the activity of sanatorium and resort enterprises.
The field of application of results. Sanatorium and resort enterprises.
Conclusions. The development of enterprises of the sanatorium and resort complex positively
influences the development of the region and related industries: tourism, hotel industry, restaurant, transport services, retail trade, souvenir production and advertising. The main priorities of development
are: growth of cash flow in the region; creating new jobs and increasing incomes; reforming the recreation
structure, which can be used both by the rest and the local population; increase of tax payments in local
budgets; overcoming depression and accelerated economic development of the territories.
