FIGURE 7 in Molecular, morphological and osteological differentiation of a new species of microhylid frog of the genus Stumpffia from northwestern Madagascar

Description

FIGURE 7. Ventral views of feet of different species of Stumpffia of the north/northwestern clade and S. tridactyla and S. tetradactyla, showing various degrees of external reduction of digits on the right, and CT scans of the feet of the same individuals on the left. External reduction of toes is only partly paralleled by reduction of the skeletal elements (especially in S. tridactyla; see text). Scale bar=1 mm. Formulae show the number of phalanges on toes I–V.
