Characteristics of children of younger school age with attention deficit disorder and hyperactivity

The article considers different approaches to the definition of the syndrome of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder: hyperkinetic syndrome, hyperkinetic disorders, minimal brain dysfunction. Examines the principal causes and the main symptoms of ADHD: clinical manifestations of attention deficit in children, prenatal pathology, complications, psycho–social reasons. A scheme of the integrated multi–level therapeutic and remedial assistance to children with ADHD: first level — metabolic — requires medical intervention; the choice of drugs is dictated by the structure of the behavioral syndrome. The second level — neuropsychological — includes neuropsychological diagnosis and correction of complex psychomotor blocks of ontogenetic brain organization of activity of the child. The third level — syndrome — includes a set of educational games that allow isolation, the impact on individual components of the syndrome, the fourth level — behavioral level — the personal — involves the use of various types of individual and group psychotherapy aimed at resolving external and internal psychological conflict, personal growth, effective communication with adults and peers.
