Pesticide Residues Overview File: PROFile (3.0)

  • 1. European Food Safety Authority

Description

The PROFile excel tool was designed by EFSA for collecting and processing pesticide residue data into a structured format. The tool can be used to compile information for a single active substance. The tool provides a data structure for entering information on Good Agricultural Practice (GAPs) for registered uses, nature and magnitude of residues, analytical methods, and storage stability of the active substance, both in plants and livestock products. Using this information supervised trials median residue (STMR), highest residue (HR) and maximum residue level (MRL) are automatically calculated for the enforcement residue definition and the risk assessment residue definition. Validation and calculation of these data is compliant with the relevant guidance documents for the assessment of pesticide residues in food and feed (European Commission 1997a, 1997b, 1997c, 1997d, 1997e, 1997f, 1997g, 2000, 2010a, 2010b, 2011; OECD, 2011, 2013).
