Description

This is a typical heater array map that is used in main heater of a thermoforming line. Thermoforming is based on 100+ heaters on top and bottom inner surfaces acting as an heating agent on the polymeric sheet. Normally, the machine does not show/know what the temperature values on the heaters are, the system is only operated based on percentages that varies between 0 and 100. So, if a heater (could be quartz or ceramic) has a capacity of 500W and the percentage is set for 50%, that it would mean that the heater is now using a power of 250 Watts but this number does not directly translate into temperature values. To perform thermal calculations, there values must be known. Hence, this dataset is offering a typical heater array map with Watt percentages converted into Temperature values in Kelvin scale. For a FEA analysis or for a similar Thermal Calculation, this values can be used as boundary conditions in a Radiative Heat Transfer problem.
