КОНТРОЛЬ УРОВНЯ ЯЗЫКОВОЙ КОМПЕТЕНЦИИ ИНОСТРАННЫХ СТУДЕНТОВ ПОДГОТОВИТЕЛЬНОГО ФАКУЛЬТЕТА

Description

The article deals with the issues of control in the process of systematic formation of grammatical competence as a necessary component of the communicative-speaking competence of foreign students at the preparatory faculty. The purpose of the article is to determine the contents of the lexical-grammatical component of language competence and to develop means for its effective control for foreign students (non-philological speciality) who study Russian as Second Language (1 certification level).

 The work specifies the meaning of the concept. «Linguistic competence». Besides, the significance of its lexico-grammatical component is revealed. There is a list of functions of language control, which include verifying, evaluative, motivational-stimulating, educational, corrective, diagnostic, generalizing and developing. This classification of types of control depends on the stages of its implementation and the form of application.

The author analyzes the traditional means of control and presents a new type of controlling, a multilevel language test, developed and implemented in the educational process. The main features of the offered test are: increasing the complexity level within a single test, the convenience of completing, graphic design and verification, the productivity, objectivity, multi-functionality and the possibility of using test variants as adaptive-training.

The novelty of the work is to create and use a new type of controlling testing materials, which ensure the phased systematic monitoring of the level of language competence of foreign students throughout their period of study at the preparatory y faculty. The author concludes that the introduction into the educational process of a combined system of educational materials containing both traditional means of control and a modern test of a multilevel structure, optimizes the control process and improves the quality of measurement and assessment of the level of language competence of foreign students. .
