BORROWED MEDIA VOCABULARY FUNCTIONING IN THE CONTEMPORARY UKRAINAN ONLINE NEWSPAPERS

The article analyzes the latest borrowed lexemes which were taken from the mass media vocabulary. The problem of the Anglicisms’ penetration into the Ukrainian language is relevant to the contemporary Ukrainian linguistics. Due to the participation of Ukraine in the processes of globalization, the lexemes’ borrowing is unstoppable and enriches the lexicon with new concepts and realities. One of the important problems of the contemporary Ukrainian studies is the differentiation of the newest foreign language lexical units, since not only individual words have been borrowed but whole layers of the foreign language vocabulary. The study of the borrowed lexemes’ usage in the periodicals is important, because it is through the media that the latest borrowing is disseminated among the speakers. The aim of this scientific research is to analyze borrowed lexemes of media topics, fixed in the texts of modern Ukrainian online newspapers. It is proved that the vocabulary of the contemporary Ukrainian online newspapers is filled not only with the lexical borrowings from the socio-economic vocabulary of the English language. There are also a lot of media vocabulary, since, due to the important role of the mass media in society, there is a need for the naming of new realities in the field of Ukrainian mass media.
