Analysis on Non-Immigration Working Visa in US

H-1B has been the primary tunnel for international students or job seekers to get hired in the United States for over two decodes. It is believed to be serving the country by importing highly-skilled foreign labors to motivate innovation as well as filling labor shortages in certain fields. 

However, critiques has always been questioning whether this program is doing its job properly. Are foreign workers replacing US employees and causing them loosing their jobs? Are the people imported really highly skilled as they are supposed to be? Do international labor really having a positive impact on the country's economy?

These are the questions this project really want to find answers to by studying the data of H-1B petitions. At the same time, the project would also attempt to find out what are the main factors deciding whether a petitioner getting approved or not as well as the salary they are making, based on which suggestions for international students and job seekers can be made in order to improve their career in the United States.
