Description

This data archive contains the software tools and scripts (in R) used to curate and proof the European Multilake Survey (EMLS) conducted in 2015. The archive contains the following types of data:

  • Source code for custom packages as .tar.gz archives. Relationaldfs is an R package created to easily navigate data which are spread across multiple csv data tables in a relational data base framework within R and openLakeData is a tool set for streamlining the download of free available metadata for European lakes.
  • Raw data tables in csv format in addition to scripts for creating the computationally generated columns in tables (such as interpolated depth profile measurements). Note that the data tables included here are an intermediate version of the final EMLS dataset, thus some data points may be missing or changed from the final version.
  • Source code and compiled examples of the automated proofing reports. These rmd documents were used to help identify missing data sheets and inconsistencies in the dataset.
