RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH AND HEALTH CARE SYSTEM: DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS

Description

The article (dataset) discusses the participation and assistance of the Orthodox Church in solving problems that allow us to uncover cooperation between medical centers and Orthodox religious institutions, determining their role in the historical context and structure of modern medical services in Russia. The algorithm of organization of nurses of mercy, their education system is presented. Particular attention is paid to the possibility of teaching the course "Foundations of Orthodox Culture" in secular educational institutions.

Scientific materials can serve as a basis for the formation of morally justified positions of medical workers and the public on the main problems of medical activity.

Based on the study, the authors published a series of articles that summarized the experience of the Orthodox Church in the charitable sphere. This experience can be used to create new charitable institutions, including those who provided medical assistance.

In preparing the article, the authors used specific historical, civilizational, formational and social research methods that allowed us to identify facts, phenomena and processes in the interconnection and unity of the past, present and future.
