Internet of Things from a Business Perspective - The IoT Literature Classification Framework

The Internet of Things (IoT) is an important development in the context of business information systems. The IoT, as a foundation for cyber-physical information systems, has similar potential for revolutionizing business as cloud computing over the last decade. The purpose of the current article is to formulate and apply a framework in order to take a quantitative snapshot of current literature on the IoT from a business perspective. Our results give an overview on important areas and will support future studies in research and practice.
