Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common autoimmune disease that affects approximately
0.8% of adults globally, affecting 2-3 times more women than men, which usually
develops between 30-50 years old. It is a chronic condition that affects the joints causing
swelling, stiffness and pain, which may result in loss of function, sever joint damage and
disability.
