La cultura notarile e la ricezione dei "Verses proverbials" di Cerverí : il notaio Ramon Bruguera di Girona (c. 1330-1370)

After having discovered a new witness of Cerverí de Girona’s Verses proverbials in the inside cover of a volume gathering notarial records from Girona city council (1370- 1372), this article is concerned with the reception of vernacular gnomic literature in 14th- 15th Crown of Aragon, especially among notaries and similar professional sectors. The reconstruction of the career and cultural background of Ramon Bruguera, the notary responsible for this volume, is complemented with the analysis of ownership of volumes containing Cerverí’s works. Lastly, the distinctive features of the fragment are highlighted in order to discuss some proposals regarding its function in the register.
