Open Science why and how / Byciclos
Description
What is Open science about? Only a boring, timeconsuming duty imposed by the EU Commission? Or a way towards a better, sounder science, more responsive to societal needs?
In this lesson we are going to see what's wrong with the current system of scholarly communication (i.e. why do we need Open Science?), what is the Open alternative and how to think "open by design", with a focus on Open Access, research assessment and EOSC - mainly to dispell myths.
Then we'll play the card games, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.4024603
