Zachvatkinia Dubinin, 1949: 216 (replacement name).
Giebelia Trouessart, 1916: 217 (junior homonym of Giebelia Kellogg, 1896, Mallophaga).
Pseudogiebelia Radford, 1950: 167.
Type species: Dermaleichus puffini Buchholz, 1869: 37, by original designation.
Unidentified specimens in this genus: Zachvatkinia sp.
Host and locality in Australia: Mutton bird, Puffinus tenuirostris, Fisher Island, Tasmania (Womersley 1955).
Current name of host: Short-tailed Shearwater, Ardenna tenuirostris (Temminck, 1836) (Procellariiformes: Procellariidae).
