Description
Marionina Michaelsen, 1889
49*. Marionina cana Marcus, 1965
Distr: BRA: SP: Cananéia (Marcus 1965, p. 71). Rem: Brackish water species (Römbke 2007, p.162).
50*. Marionina ecuadoriensis Righi, 1981
Distr: ECU: Los Tayos (Righi 1981b, p. 236). Rem: Terrestrial species (Römbke 2007, p. 163).
51*. Marionina exigua Ude, 1896
Distr: ARG: Tierra del Fuego: Ushuaia (Ude 1896, p. 20). Rem: Marine species (Coates & Healy 2008).
52*. Marionina falclandica Michaelsen, 1905
Distr: off ARG: Falkland Islands (Michaelsen 1905).
Rem: Marine species, labeled as incertae sedis (Coates & Healy 2008).
53. Marionina georgiana (Michaelsen, 1888)
Other names for South America and correlated southern land masses: Pachydrilus georgianus Michaelsen, 1888; Christensenia georgiana (Michaelsen, 1888); Christensenidrilus georgianus (Michaelsen, 1888).
Distr: Off southern ARG: Falkland Islands (Baylis 1916, p. 288).
Furth. Distr: South Georgia Islands (Stephenson 1932, p. 241) and Possession Island (Îles Crozet), southern Indian Ocean (Michaelsen 1905, p. 15).
Rem: Although this species, from a political point of view, occurs in English territory, from a geographical perspective the species extends its range to the South American continental shelf (Falkland Islands). Thus, biogeographically, it belongs both to the South American (Falkland Islands) and to the subantarctic (South Georgia Islands) domains. This species has recently been referred to again as Marionina georgiana (Rota et al. 2008; Schmelz & Collado 2008).
54*. Marionina nea Marcus, 1965
Distr: BRA: SP: Cananéia (Marcus 1965, p. 74). Rem: Brackish water species (Römbke 2007, p. 162).
55*. Marionina patua Righi, Ayres and Bittencourt, 1978 Distr: BRA: AM: Manaus (Righi et al. 1978, p. 8). Rem: Terrestrial species (Römbke 2007, p. 163).
56*. Marionina pituca Righi, 1974
Distr: MG: Serra do Cipó (Righi, 1974b, p. 414); MT: Bataguassu, near Paraná river (Righi 1981a, p. 428).
Rem: Terrestrial species (Römbke 2007, p. 163).
57. Marionina riparia Bretscher, 1899
Distr: BOL: Amazon basin (Martínez-Ansemil & Giani 1986, p. 114).
Furth. Distr: Europe and Africa (Rota & Healy 1994, p. 65).
Rem: Listed as a marine species (Coates & Healy 2008), but this does not seem to be correct, according to Rüdiger Schmelz (pers. comm.). The material of Martínez-Ansemil and Giani (1986, p. 114) was found ¨in a small river¨. Römbke (2007, p. 162) does not include this species in his table of three species of the previous authors which he considers to represent ¨typical¨ terrestrial enchytraeids.
58*. Marionina schreiberi Righi, 1975
Distr: BRA: MG: Conceição do Mato Dentro Mun: Serra do Cipó (Righi 1975, p. 148). Rem: Terrestrial species (Römbke 2007, p. 163).
59*. Marionina subtilis (Ude, 1896)
Other name for South America: Michaelsena subtilis Ude, 1896.
Distr: ARG: south Patagonia: Dungeness point; Tierra Del Fuego: Ushuaia (Ude 1896, p. 25). Rem: Possibly marine, labeled as species dubia (Coates & Healy 2008).
Stephensoniella Č ernosvitov, 1934
61. Stephensoniella marina (Moore, 1902)
Distr: FRG: La Mére islet (Č ernosvitov 1935, p. 8). Furth. Distr: Bermuda (Gavrilov 1981, p. 181). Rem: Marine species (Coates & Healy 2008).
