Distr: Off southern ARG: Falkland Islands (Stephenson 1932, p. 257). ARG: Clarence island (Č ernosvitov 1934a, p. 1); Magellan Strait: Patagonia: Elizabeth Island; Tierra del Fuego: Ushuaia, São Pio cape and Pantalón port. URU: Montevideo (Ude 1896, p. 28). BRA: SP: Cananéia (Marcus 1965, p. 65).

Furth. Distr: Almost cosmopolitan (Gavrilov 1979, p. 107), including secondarily marine habitats (Coates & Healy 2008).
