Description

Megaphyllum cephalonicum (Strasser, 1974)

Chromatoiulus cephalonicus Strasser, 1974: 270 –272 and 290, 292, Figs 61–63. Chromatoiulus cephalonicus: Ceuca 1992: 425.

Megaphyllum cephalonicum: Enghoff & Kime 2009.

Distribution in the Balkans. Greece: Cephalonia Island: Sami, road to Argostoli (type locality) (Strasser 1974). World distribution. Endemic to the island of Cephalonia, Greece.

Remarks. Described on the basis of one male, never found since the original description. Although obviously different, it is remarkably similar to M. leucadium, from the neighbouring island, Lefkada, and M. recticauda from Corfu Island.
