15. Haemaphysalis verticalis Itagaki, Noda & Yamaguchi, 1944

Host/Habitat. Allactaga sibirica (Siberian jerboa), Canis lupus familiaris (dog), Cervidae (deer), Cricetulus barabensis (striped dwarf hamster), Cricetulus triton (greater long-tailed hamster), Erinaceus europaeus (Western European hedgehog), Lepus tolai (tolai hare), Meriones unguiculatus (Mongolian gerbil), Microtus fortis (reed vole), Mustela altaica (altai weasel), Mustela putorius (European polecat), Myospalax aspalax (false zokor), Passer montanus (eurasian tree sparrow), Procapra gutturosa (Mongolian gazelle), rat hole.

Distribution. Ruicheng (Yang et al. 1997); Shanxi (Teng 1978; Liu et al. 1996); Taiyuan, Yongji (Tian 1980); Xiaxian (Wang et al. 1985; Yang et al. 1997); Yuanqu (Tian 1980; Yang et al. 1997).

Remarks. The species name of the host recorded as Lepus totai [sic] by Teng (1978) and Teng & Jiang (1991).
