Lepidoperca coatsii (Regan, 1913)
Caesioperca coatsii Regan, 1913 (Regan, 1913b)
Syntypes: 17 [four, BMNH 1912.7.1.72– 76, 70– 78 mm SL; 13 in three lots, NMSZ 1921.143.374–Eschmeyer et al., online].
Type locality: off Gough Island, South Atlantic Ocean (40°20’ S, 09°56’ W). Illustrations: Anderson & Heemstra, 2012, fig. 4; Andrew et al., 1995:42, pl. 1, fig. H.
D: X, 16 to 19 (most frequently 17). A: III, 7 to 9 (usually 8). P: 16 or 17. C: 17 (9 + 8). V: 26 (10 + 16). S: 3. GR: 31 to 36 (9 to 12 + 22 to 25). LL: 42 to 51 (usually 43 to 48). CP: 17 to 19.
Distribution: South Atlantic and southern Indian Ocean.
