Acanthephyra brevirostris Smith, 1885

A near-cosmopolitan, bathypelagic species in tropical and temperate waters (Kensley 1968) reaching the sub- Antarctic Region near Marion Island (Spence Bate 1888 as Hymenodora duplex Spence Bate, 1888).
