Description
Sciadonus pedicellaris Garman, 1899.
To 12.6 cm (5 in) TL (Nielsen 2018). North Atlantic and south-western and eastern Pacific Oceans (Fricke et al. 2020); Oregon (Matarese et al. 1989) to Chile (Pequeño 1989). Benthopelagic (Nielsen and Cohen in Nielsen et al. 1999); depth: 1,169 –5,440 m (3,834 –17,843 ft) (Nielsen 2018). We follow Møller et al. (2016) and place this species (previously in the family Aphyonidae) in the Bythitidae.
