Description

Robber flies (Asilidae) of the eastern part of Polish Pomerania are reviewed in terms of their diagnostics, geographical distribution, ecology, seasonal dynamics and behaviour. The study is based on rich material collected over a period of 30 years. The examined individuals belong to 18 genera and 35 species, all characterized and photographed. The review is supplemented with published data on robber flies recorded in the region, also those historical, and includes 22 genera with a total number of 45 species – over half of the Polish fauna of Asilidae
