Antarctinoe Barnich, Fiege, Micaletto and Gambi 2006

Description

Antarctinoe Barnich, Fiege, Micaletto and Gambi, 2006

We follow Barnich et al. (2006) who confirmed that Hermadion rouchi Gravier, 1911 is a junior synonym of Hermadion ferox Baird, 1865 and moved the species to the new genus Antarctinoe. The presence of cephalic peaks and a neuropodial supra-acicular process, together with notochaetae projecting mainly dorsally to meet mid-dorsally are characteristic for the genus Antarctinoe.
