Type locality: Orikasa (Iwate prefecture); Shironohana (Kochi prefecture), Crassostrea gigas, Omphalius rusticus Type material: Holotype: NHMIC-CBM-ZW-901 Good.
Location and author of most recently described material: Southwest Australia Haliotis shell (Sato-Okoshi et al. 2008) (brief description).
Recorded distribution: Australia: southwest Western Australia. Orikasa (Iwate prefecture); Shironohana (Kochi prefecture), Japan.
