Description

Pholis laeta (Cope, 1873).

Crescent Gunnel. To 25.4 cm (10 in)TL (Miller and Lea 1972). South-eastern Kamchatka, Commander Islands, and Aleutian Islands, east along north side of Alaska Peninsula to Port Heiden, southeastern Bering Sea, and Gulf of Alaska (Mecklenburg et al. 2002) to Abalone Point, Humboldt County, northern California (Personal communication: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Fish Collection, Los Angeles, California). Benthic; depth: intertidal to 99 m (324 ft) (min.: Cross 1981; max.: Love et al. 2005).
