Menidia audens Hay 1882

Description

** Menidia audens Hay, 1882.

Mississippi Silverside. To 15 cm (3.9 in) TL (Page and Burr 2011). Native to the greater Mississippi Valley. Found in San Francisco Bay and in various freshwater systems in California (Moyle 2002). California specimens sometimes, and apparently erroneously, referred to as Menidia beryllina (Cope, 1867).
